Description

This is a simple test model to demonstrate and compare the results of shielding simulations. The model has a magnet in the middle and an iron wall on the positive x-axis to shield the field. The model is set up in three different ways: With a volume meshed wall and instead of the wall a layer with 0 thickness and the thin plate boundary condition on this layer. For completness the layer is in one model completly in an air block and in the other model is separating two hex air cells from each other. When the boundary is on the surface of a cell. The software can assign two values for the flux density and hence model a jump in flux density as it occurs on the real wall. The results show that the thin plate boundary gives good results and should better be used on the surface of cells.
